Charlestown window company attains national certification

Grady Joinery, a company employing 180 people on the Sligo Mayo border at Charlestown has been awarded the Window Energy Performance Certification (WEP) by the National Standards Association Ireland (NSAI) for their state-of-the-art windows.
This prestigious certification accounts for the windows overall energy rating, air leakage controls, solar radiation protection, condensation resistance and insulation properties. The certificate allows customers to make an informed selection when replacing or purchasing new windows.
Established as a family business in 1979 Grady Joinery is now one of Ireland's premier manufacturers of quality certified windows and doors. Arthur Grady, Managing Director, Grady Joinery said: "Everyone in the company is delighted with this national recognition. This is a very important accolade for our company as it recognises the high standards, innovation and expertise that we strive for in all our products."
Grady Joinery is located just outside Charlestown in a 300,000 sq. ft factory on a sixty acre site. "We have installed windows and doors in over 100,000 homes all over Ireland since we were established as a family enterprise employing just two people back in 1979," stated Grady. "Despite the difficult economic circumstances in the construction industry we are confident that we can continue to grow and expand our business. National recognition for our products from the NSAI is a real boost to everyone in the company."
Grady Joinery has invested over €20 million in capital developments in the company over the past number of years with research and development being the key factors to their success of late.
